Abstract

This Notice of the Minister of Environmental Affairs amends the Notice containing a list of waste management activities that have, or a likely to have, a detrimental effect on the environment by the repeal of The sorting, shredding, grinding, crushing, screening or bailing of general waste at a facility that has an operational area in excess of 1000 square metres as waste management activity in paragraph 3 Category A, and by substituting paragraph 5 of category C, which specifies standards and norms that must be observed when undertaking a waste management activity (i.e. storage and recycling of waste as specified).
