This Management Plan applies to the sea cucumber fishery and includes all fishing and activities associated with the collection, processing, storage, buying, selling and exporting of beche-de-mer products. The objectives of this Plan are (I) the management of the sea cucumber fishery for the long-term economic benefit of coastal and island communities throughout Papua New Guinea, (II) biologically sustainable use of sea cucumber stocks, and (III) effective implementation of this Plan with the involvement of relevant stakeholders involved in the sea cucumber fishery.
