Abstract

An Ordinance to regulate the marketing of living mussels. The Ordinance contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as "mussels", "competent authorities", "cleaning centres", "means of transport", "packing", "importation", etc. Article 3 contains requirements as to living mussels, whilst article 4 deals with packing. Then the Ordinance treats issues such as conservation and storage, transport, labelling, controlling authorities empowered to ensure that the prescriptions contained in this Ordinance are observed. The Ordinance consists of 8 articles.
