Abstract

This Act approves the Murray Darling Basin Agreement 1992 and makes the necessary steps for its implementation in the territory of South Australia. The Act provides for the appointment of commissioners and deputy commissioners of South Australia in the Murray-Darling Basin Commission and spells out its powers in the state territory. The Act is completed by one schedule reporting the integral text of the Agreement between the Commonwealth, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
