Abstract

This Decree adds, in paragraph 2 of article 69, the section (e) describing the chemical substance C14 H18 N2 O5 (aspartame) which is a white, odourless, strongly sweet tasted crystalline powder. In Part B, Chapter D of the Food Code, sections D35, D36, D37 are added; these sections prescribe chemical analysis methods to be followed in order to trace the existence of aspartame in foodstuffs.
