Abstract This Decision approves a Decision by the Supreme Council of Chemistry by which certain parts of articles 2 (definitions), 3 (processing and disposal of foodstuffs), 5 (foodstuffs requiring approval) and 7 (foodstuffs imported from third countries) are amended or replaced. In particular, paragraph 8 of article 2 is replaced. It deals with genetically modified organisms. Paragraphs 1 and 2 of article 3 are also amended. Article 5 is entirely replaced (the approval for certain foodstuffs shall be issued by the Supreme Council of Chemistry). Article 7 is hereby replaced (foodstuffs and their ingredients and packaging must comply with the provisions of the Greek food legislation in order to be placed in the market).
