This Ministerial Decree enters into force on 20 December 2000.
Abstract

This Decree seeks to prevent spreading of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) by prohibiting importation of hazardous animal tissues such as: (1) brain; (2) spinal cord; (3) eyes; (4) sweetbread; (5) milt; (6) lymphatic and nervous tissue; (7) intestines of bovine animals; (8) intestines of ovine and (9) caprine animals which are aged over 6 months. The importation of feedstuffs of animal origin is also prohibited, such as: (1) meat meal; (2) bone meal; (3) blood meal; (4) and related product
