Entry into force notes
The Decree shall enter into force as from 30 June 1998, except of point 41which shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Decree aligns the Greek legislative frame with a) Commission Directive 96/55/EC adapting to technical progress for the second time Annex I to Council Directive 76/769/EEC, b) Commission Directive 97/10/EC adapting to technical progress for the third time Annex I to Council Directive 76/769/EEC and c) Council Directive 97/16/ EC amending for the fifteenth time Directive 76/769/EEC on restrictions on the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations. The aforementioned Directives amend Annex I of Presidential Order No. 445/83, as amended and in force, by replacing points 29, 30, 31, 33 up to 40 and by adding up a new point 41. Also, this Decree establishes that the competent authority for the implementation of the provisions of Presidential Order No. 445 shall be the Supreme Chemical Council of the State.
