Abstract

This Ministerial Decree establishes that the objective of state mining supervision shall be enforcement of subsoil management legislation, prevention and elimination of negative impact upon the population, environment, edifices and constructions, and also subsoil protection. State mining supervision shall be carried out by the Federal Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision Service with the following sphere of competence: (a) compliance with mining safety requirements; (b) compliance with subsoil management safety requirements; and (c) safe use of explosives in the process of mining. Ministerial Decree No. 293 validating the Regulation on state supervision over the exploration and rational management of subsoil shall be amended to add the following wording: (a) item “l” “prevention of unauthorized subsoil management”; (b) item “g” “carry out research, exploration, testing, expertise, analysis and assessment related to state geological supervision.”
