Abstract This Decree aims at ensuring efficient use of water resources by establishing limits to water use for drinking, household, medical, resort, health and other needs, as well as in agriculture, industry, construction, transportation and fisheries. This Decree underlines that in case of insufficiency of surface water reserves, groundwater reserves shall be used primarily for drinking and household needs. The limits to water use in agriculture shall be established by the Azerbaijan Amelioration and Water Management Open Joint Stock Company.
