Abstract

This Ministerial Decree regulates main use felling, intermediate felling and other types of standing timber extraction in public forests. It also applies to protected forests with the consideration of the purposeful use thereof. Main use felling shall target mature and overly-mature timber, as well as plantations damaged by forest fires, pests, wind and pollutants. Intermediate felling (thinning operations, selective felling and sanitary felling) shall target timber of little value, single trees in young forests and protected forests that have lost protection properties.
