Abstract

This Decree establishes the "Portofino" natural marine area and concerns: a) the environmental protection of the area, b) the management and conservation of biological resources, c) the adoption of educational programmes for the development of an ecological and marine culture, d) the development of scientific research programmes for the protection of the marine and natural environment, e) the promotion of a environmentally compatible economic development. The possession, hunting and damaging of animal species and plants, any discharge of waste and the alteration of the marine environment are forbidden. Under article 4 is marked out a fully protected integral reserve where bathing, fishing and navigation is not allowed. Under the same article a general reserve area is also established. (9 articles)
