This Decree concerns: a) the environmental protection of the area, b) the management and conservation of biological resources, c) the adoption of educational programmes for the development of an ecological and marine culture, d) the development of scientific research programmes for the protection of the marine and natural environment, e) the promotion of an environmentally compatible economic development. The possession, hunting and damaging of animal species and plants, minerals, any alteration of the marine and geological environment are forbidden. The natural marine area is divided into 3 zones: a fully protected integral reserve, a general reserve area and partial reserve area. A financial contribution for the establishment of the marine reserve is established under article 6.
