Abstract

The Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies hereby clarifies the extent of particular provisions laid down in Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91 and Legislative Decree No. 220 of 1995 in matter of importation from third countries of products obtained through organic methods. Firstly, the Circular gives the definition of “importer” for the purposes of registration in the national list of importers of organic products as per article 11 of Regulation (EEC) No. 2092/91. Further, it is described the procedure to be followed by control organisms to verify compliance by importers of the relevant Community and national provisions.
