Abstract

These Regulations amend the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Air Pollution from Ships) Regulations 2008 relating to the quality of petrol and diesel fuels as prescribed by Community legislation and in particular the maximum sulphur content of fuels used by inland waterway vessels. A new regulation 37 is added which requires the Secretary of State to review the operation and effect of the principle Regulations and to publish a report by a specified date.
