Provisions of the 1971 Act concern liability for oil pollution, establishment of limitation fund outside Bermuda, compulsory insurance against liability for pollution, issue of certificate in relation with insurance by Minister, rights of third parties against insurers, jurisdiction of Bermudian courts and registration of foreign judgments, and other implementation of the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage.
