Abstract

This Act amends the merchant Shipping Act with respect to bareboat chartering and to implement certain Maritime Conventions, notably the Safety Convention, the Load Line Convention, the Tonnage Measurement Convention, the Collisions Convention and the Limitation of Liability Convention. These Conventions shall now have force of law in Tuvalu. Regulations made under this Act may make provision for the implementation of any or all of these Conventions.
