Abstract

The present Law implements the Federal Animal Disease Act of 11 April 2001 (BGBl. I p. 506). Article 1 establishes that the Ministry competent for veterinary matters and the Office for Consumer Protection, Agriculture and Land Consolidation are responsible for the correct application of the above-mentioned Law. The text consists of 21 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: Competent authorities and their tasks (I); Animal diseases ordinances and regulations (II); Animal Diseases Fund (III); Compensation and subsidies (IV); Contributions of animal keepers and subsidies of the Land (V); Cost of services rendered by competent authorities (VI); Final and transitional provisions (VII).
