Abstract

These Regulations amend the Marketing of Ornamental Plant Propagating Material Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999 to implement Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2018/484 amending Directive 93/49/EEC as regards the requirements to be fulfilled by the propagating material of certain genera or species of Palmae in respect of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus. In addition to meeting the requirements of propagating material of Palmea as specified, These Regulations specify other conditions regarding the material being free of diseases prior to arrival in Northern Ireland.
