They lay down similar quality, packaging and labelling standards for straight and compound NPK solid fertilizers not designated "EEC fertilizer" to those laid down in the European Communities (Marketing of fertilizers) Regulations, 1978 for "EEC fertilizers" and provide for quality, packaging and labelling standards for: (a) liquid fertilizers; (b) fertilizers containing any of the nutrients boron, cobalt, phosphorus soluble in mineral acids or sodium; (c) fertilizers containing organic materials; and (d) liming materials including ground limestone. Furthermore they down official methods of sampling and analysis for these fertilizers.
