These Regulations enter into force on January 1st, 2015.
Abstract

These Regulations shall apply to all registered vessels, all seafarers, and all owners, charterers and master of vessels. These Regulations sets forth provisions on the responsibility of the owners, charterers and master of vessels and each seafarer in compliance with maritime and marine protection rules under the Maritime Transport Act and marine protection convention. These Regulations apply the strict liability principle. The maritime rules offences are listed in the Schedule 1 and the rules and regulations to be revoked at the time of making the new Maritime Rules are listed in Schedule 2.
