Abstract

This plan, consisting of eight Parts, provides for the management of the Great Sandy Marine Park. It designates management zones and provides for entry and use of the resources in each. It sets aside areas as for special management. The Plan sets out procedures for applying for accreditation of a traditional use of marine resources agreement and sets out requirements for particular applications for permissions. It further prescribes restrictions applying to activities carried out in marine parks. The plan is completed by five schedules: zone boundaries, designated area boundaries, non conforming uses, species restricted for taking or possessing and dictionary.
