Abstract

The Act amends the Marine Living Resources Act that concerns the establishment of several institutions involved in fisheries management and conservation of marine living resources, for the conservation of marine living resources and the regulation of commercial and local fishing. The amendments aim to permit the extension of certain rights to undertake commercial or subsistence fishing, engage in mariculture or operate fish processing establishments.
