This Regulation enters into force on 1 February 2014.
Abstract

This Regulation aims to protect and improve marine environment, prevent and control pollution, exploit marine resources rationally, maintain ecological balance and promote the sustainable social and economic development. The Regulation consists of 45 Articles divided into 7 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Marine Environment Supervision and Management (II); Marine Ecological Protection (III); Prevention and Control of Marine Environment Pollution (IV); Marine Environment Impact Assessment (V); Legal Liabilities (VI); Supplementary Provisions (VII).
