Abstract

This Notice of the Marine Conservation Board, made under sections 3 and 6(8) of the Marine Conservation Law (2007 Revision), suspends the operation of section 6(7) of the Law on closed seasons and bans for lobsters, conch and Nassau groupers in each designated grouper spawning area, i.e. an area specified in the First Schedule to the Restricted Marine Areas (Designation) Regulations. The Notice prohibits taking of Nassau groupers from a designated grouper spawning area in specified months and allows not more than twelve groupers to be taken in a single day during the open season.
