Abstract

La presente codificación de la Ley forestal y de conservación de áreas naturales y vida silvestre, establece que constituyen patrimonio forestal del Estado las tierras forestales que son de su propiedad, los bosques naturales que existan en ellas, los cultivados por su cuenta y la flora y fauna silvestres, y los bosques que se hubieren plantado o se plantaren en terrenos del Estado, exceptuándose los que se hubieren formado por colonos y comuneros en tierras en posesión. Los manglares, aun aquellos existentes en propiedades particulares, se consideran bienes del Estado y están fuera del comercio, no son susceptibles de posesión o cualquier otro medio de apropiación y solamente podrán ser explotados mediante concesión otorgada.
