Abstract With a view to implementing Directive 2001/93/EC, which amends Directive 91/630/EEC concerning the protection of pigs, this Legislative Decree lays down particular amendments to Legislative Decree No. 534 of 30 December 1992. In accordance with new article 3 (contained in article 1 hereto), all buildings where pigs are kept shall comply with the minimum requirements prescribed therein. The Regions and the Autonomous Provinces shall be responsible for the performance of training courses, as per new article 5-bis. Article 3 lays down some amendments in matter of sanctions. The Annex to Legislative Decree No. 534 shall be replaced by that attached to this Legislative Decree.
