This Law entered into force on 15 February 2004.
Abstract

In compliance with the provisions laid down in Directive 2001/77/EC, this Legislative Decree aims at promoting an increase in the contribution of renewable energy sources to electricity production. In particular, it pursues the development of installations for electrical microgeneration from renewable sources. Article 2 defines renewable energy sources as renewable non-fossil energy sources, i.e. wind, solar, geothermal, wave, tidal, hydropower, biomass, landfill gas, sewage treatment plant gas and biogases.
