Abstract Particular amendments are hereby laid down to Legislative Decree No. 54 of 2004, which establishes the minimum measures to be implemented in order to combat African swine fever. The presence or the suspected presence of the disease must be notified without any delay to the veterinary service of the competent local health authority. According to the amendments hereby laid down to article 3, not only the Ministry of Health shall be informed, but also the competent Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
