This Legislative Decree enters into force within 30 days from its publication.
Abstract

This Law amends the Maritime Code, specifically with regard to the following matters: ship owners, regardless of whether or not they are owners or managers of the same, are obliged to take out civil liability insurance; when a ship is the object of bareboat charter or other legal transaction that implies the transfer of possession of the ship, the shipowner is the bareboat charterer or person assigning its ownership; fine revert to the Autonomous Fund for the Development and Safety of Maritime Transport and are intended to finance the control and inspection activities carried out by the regulatory authority; vessel owner's (or non-owner) responsibility, etc.
