Abstract In compliance with the provisions laid down at Community level in Directive 2000/36/EC, this Legislative Decree makes rules applicable to the sales names, definitions, characteristics and labelling of cocoa and chocolate products intended for human consumption. Annex I regards with detail the sales names, definitions and characteristics of the products. Annex II specifies the vegetable fats other than cocoa butter that may be added to certain chocolate products. Article 5 deals with labelling. Article 7 lays down penalties.
