Article 1 of the Legislative Decree establishes limit values applicable to asbestos emissions into the air. Annex A describes the procedures and methods to be followed in order to measure air pollution levels. Article 2, on the other side, prescribes limit values to be applied to effluents resulting from industrial activities. Annex B regulates their respective analysis methods and procedures. Article 4 concerns duty to report and data transmission. The competent authorities shall submit annually to the Ministry of the Environment and to the Ministry of Health a report relative to the activities that have been carried out in order to ensure compliance with the limit values hereby prescribed. The Ministry of the Environment shall therefore present to the European Commission its own report.
