The present Law enters into force on 1 January 1961.
Abstract

The present Law implements the Federal Law on the exploitation of water of 22 December 1916. Article 1 establishes that the State has the sovereign right over public waters in the Canton Sankt Gallen. The text consists of 55 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Assignment of water rights (II); Construction and management of water exploitation facilities (III); Water charges (IV); Register for water rights and groundwater (IV); Final provisions (V).
