Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of article 5 paragraph 4, article 6 paragraph 3, article 7 paragraph 4 and 5 and article 36 paragraph 5 which shall enter into force on the day of Croatian accession to the EU and the provisions of article 41 of this Law will come into force on 1 January 2012.
Abstract

This Law prescribes all necessary rules and standards for the: safety protection of merchant vessels intended for maritime transport and port areas, designed to docking or anchoring; duties of the government bodies and companies; port authorities and their administrative obligations; concessionaires; recognized organizations for security and protection; and other natural or legal persons responsible for the security protection measures for ensuring the security of ships and port protection.
