Abstract

This Law not only provides for the establishment of a Veterinary Service and its supervisory powers, but also formulates rules on prophylaxis and veterinary control of animal diseases (chap. 3): Article 11 marginally provides for the importation of animals, animal breeding products, fodder, drugs, and biopreparations, for the transportation of animals, the issue of veterinary certificates and the notification of animal diseases. Article 12 empowers the Government to issue regulations on quarantine and other measures to prevent or limit the spreading of animal diseases. Article 13 creates the basis for the control of the import and use of animal drugs, hormone preparations and vaccines. (13 articles)
