Abstract This Law provides for special regime for mineral products exploitation. The following mineral products may be exploited through the licensing regime, or authorization and concession: I - sand and gravel for immediate use in civil construction, in the preparation of aggregates and mortars, given they are not submitted to an industrial process neither to raw material to the processing industry; II - rocks and other mineral substances, when fitted for guides, gutters, mills etc.; III - clays used in the manufacture of red ceramics; IV - rocks, when crushed for immediate use in construction and limestones used as soil corrective in agriculture. The use of such mineral products is limited to a maximum area of fifty hectares.
