Abstract The Law consists of 7 Chapters that contain 30 articles. The present Law establishes legal, economic and social basis for protection of atmospheric air and is aimed at ensuring ecological safety and realization of the rights of citizens to favourable for life and public health environment and reliable information thereon. The present Law regards state management in the sphere of protection of atmospheric air, organization of activity for protection of atmospheric air, state registration of sources of hazardous impact on atmospheric air, establishes control in the sphere of protection of atmospheric air and also establishes rights and duties of natural and legal persons in the aforementioned sphere.
