Entry into force notes
This Law shall enter into force on the tenth day following the day of its official publication.
Abstract

Article 17 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Authorized state institution competent in the field of environmental protection in relation to subsoil management shall have the following powers: (a) participation in formation of state policy on environmental protection in relation to subsoil management; (b) application of restrictions on subsoil management envisaged by law; (c) dismantling of subsoil management projects, programs, mining complexes and ordering environmental audit thereof; (d) use of environmental protection fund, calculation of the amount of allocations therefrom, making decisions of rehabilitation works; (e) indication of landfills for mining waste with a view of protecting public health; (f) environmental monitoring and environmental impact assessment; (g) classification of mining waste by hazardousness degree; (h) application of good practices and best available technologies; and (i) data collection and reporting on prevention and reduction of environmental damages.”
