Abstract This Law, consisting of 10 Chapters and 1 Annex, divided into 118 articles, establishes the regime for Cultural Heritage Preservation of the Special Administrative Region of Macau (RAEM). RAEM aims at the following aspects: guaranteeing the transmission of cultural heritage of Macau, which continuity and valorisation link generations in their collective history; protecting and valorising the cultural heritage as an essential tools to respect human dignity and fundamental rights; knowledge, study, protection, valorisation and dissemination of cultural heritage represent an obligation of RAEM.
