Abstract This Law, compose of 2 articles, amends Law No. 9.985 establishing the National System of Protected Areas’ Management – SNUC. In particular, the Law introduces article 22-A establishing the public authorities may define provisional administrative restrictions to the exercise of agricultural or agro-pastoral activities if these are deemed to jeopardize the environment, with the aim of carrying out studies related to the establishment of the Conservation Unit. The Law specifies also the forbidden activities within the concerned areas and the procedures for managing the restricted area until final decision on its destination.
