Further insertions are also made to article 33: the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs is authorized to implement a monitoring plan on pharmacological and toxic materials that are prohibited and/or tolerated to a certain limit at livestock and animal food products. Slaughtering animals, on which the residues or traces of the above mentioned compounds are identified, is forbidden. If the level exceeds the limit, detailed investigation shall be carried out in the farm and subsequent measures taken. There are also some additions to article 53, i.e. the use of livestock fattening agents with pharmacological collateral and toxic effects is forbidden.
