It substitutes the definitions of Farmland, Alluvial Land, Farmer and Farmer organization and inserts new definitions for Silty Land and Shifting Cultivation Land. It makes amendments to sections 7 and 9 to 21. It inserts a new section 25-A relating to order or decision of the administrative body of Farmland. Further, sections 26, 27, 28, 31, 32, 35, 37 and 38 are amended. A new section 37-A relating to punishment for encroachment is inserted and section 40 is deleted.
