Country/Territory United Kingdom Territorial subdivision Scotland Document type Regulation Date 2013 Source FAO, FAOLEX Subject Livestock, Land & soil Keyword Land reform Right of use Private land Animal health Pests/diseases Geographical area Atlantic Ocean Islands, Europe, Europe and Central Asia, North Atlantic, North Sea, North-East Atlantic, Northern Europe Abstract This Order modifies section 7(1) of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003. The Act provides that access rights are not exercisable over the categories of land specified in section 6. This does not prevent or restrict the exercise of access rights over any land which is a core path. This amendments makes exceptions to this rule for reasons of control of an outbreak of animal disease, or where land has been included in an Order under section 11 of the Act. The local authority may by order under that section made in respect of a particular area of land specified in the order exempt it for a particular purpose specified in the Order from the access rights which would otherwise be exercisable in respect of it during such times as may be specified in the order.
