It establishes that the Governor of the State, and the Director of the National Survey Authority, or any other official empowered by any law, are the authorities to demarcate or survey any lands (art. 2). Article 3 defines the general powers of the land demarcation or survey officer. Article 4 deals with the power of survey officers to summon persons to give information. Article 5 regards orders to demarcate one's land. Article 7 provides for preservation and maintenance of boundary marks, while penalties for who defaces, removes, injures or otherwise impairs any landmark, boundary mark or survey mark, unless authorized, are provided for under article 11.
