Subject Land & soil Keyword Institution Geographical area Africa, South Atlantic, Southern Africa Abstract This Act modifies the principal Act by indicating as persons to whom powers delegated to the Premier under subsection 1(d) may be delegated: The Director-General of Land affairs of the province concerned or any member of the Executive Council of the province concerned. The powers delegated may be exercised by any officer in the service of the provincial government indicated by the Director-general of the province concerned. The national Director of Land Affairs may, pursuant to a new subsection 2(1)(a), in writing, either in general or in a particular case, delegate power relating land matters conferred upon him or her in terms of any law to a Director-General of a national department or a province or an officer in the service of the local government contemplated in section 1 of the Local Government Transition Act.
