Abstract

These Regulations apply to the keeping of wild animals in zoos. With a view to protecting wild fauna and preserving biodiversity, the Regulations provide for the issue of licences and for the inspection of zoos on the territory of Malta, in compliance with the rules laid down in Directive 1999/22/EC. Regulation 6 sets out penalties.
