Abstract

On the basis of the powers conferred by article 10 of the Food Safety Act of 2002, the Minister of Health has made the present Regulations, which prohibit the manufacture, sale and importation into Malta of any food which contains or consists of Kava-Kava (i.e. a plant, or any part of, or an extract from, a plant belonging to the species Piper methysticum).
