The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 July 2010.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Federal Power Supply Act of 23 March 2007. Article 1 establishes that the afore-mentioned Act regulates a safe, economic and sustainable electricity supply of the Canton. Furthermore, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the enforcement of federal legislation and in particular, to the division of tasks between municipalities, electricity supply of industries and the Canton. The text consists of 14 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Network areas and network operations (2); Electrical connections (3); Network tariffs (4); Proceedings, penalties and final provisions (5).
