Abstract

The present Law implements the Federal Water Protection Act of 24 January 1991. In particular, it lays down provisions relating to the protection of water, the implementation of the federal legislation on water protection and terms of reference of the Canton and local authorities. The text consists of 31 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: Scope and sphere of application (I); Terms of reference (II); Ensuring clean waters (III); Concessions for use of waters (IV);Planning (V); Financing (VI); Further provisions (VII); Penal provisions (VIII).
