Abstract These Instructions consisting of 10 articles aim at organizing the sanitary sewage treatment to be used as a source for water in the agricultural sector. They deal with: stages of sludge treatment (art.2); wastewater management plants (art.3); requirements for the use of treated sludge for agriculture (art.4); rules for the transport (art.5); necessary operations to be taken by the environmental directorates in the provinces in coordination with the health departments (art.6); chemical standards of the components and standards for the use of treated sludge in agriculture (art.7, the standards are indicated in the attached Annex); cases where it is forbidden the use of treated sludge in agriculture (art.8); requirements and condition for the handling of treated sludge (art.9).
